Ethernet Business Connectivity is for:
  • businesses connecting to other businesses at LAN speeds in the same metro area;
  • businesses connecting to multiple businesses at near-LAN speeds;
  • Circuits between branch offices in the same metro area;
  • Small- and medium-sized ISPs or ASPs that are expanding their metro network;
  • High-speed connections to off-site data in the same metro area.


    • Note that point to point ethernet circuits start at $1,000 per month; and that point to multi-point ethernet circuits start at $1,500 per month. Prices increase based on the number of offices that will be connected, circuit speed, and contract term. Generally ethernet circuit pricing is not distance sensitive within the same metro area. .        These ethernet circuits can be in a 'switched' network. As your data is traversing over a 'switched' network and over the public fiber systems all sensitive data should be encrypted. These circuits should be separate from the Internet. If your company is transmitting sensitive data (such as financial or health records) then you should encrypt the data before sending the data over the circuit.
    Availability
    WCIX offers ethernet Business Connectivity in select major metropolitan areas within the continental United States.
    Performance
    Ethernet point-to-point and point-to-multi-opint connections allow your business to business applications to perform at speeds starting at 100 mbps; and can be quickly incremented in 100 mbps segments. Ethernet circuits are also available at 1,000 mbps (1 gbps) and at 10 gbps speed.

    Configuration
    The local provider will provide all cabling and connections. WCIX will NOT program your router for this application
    Installation
    No hardware is provided. IF the fiber is already 'lit' in your facility, installation can happen within a week. IF the fiber is not 'lit' in your building, please allow 45 days for installation
    Monitoring
    WCIX does NOT provide monitoring of business to business ethernet circuits. Monitoring is provided by a third party.
    Terms and Conditions
    There is a minimum 3 year term for business to business OC3 circuits. Automated deductions, direct payment deposit, or automated ACH / wire transfers are required.
